This award celebrates any company operating in the life sciences industry that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. It recognises those who have implemented outstanding diversity and inclusion policies, practices, or strategies that go beyond compliance, actively promoting equity, respect, and opportunity for all employees. The winning applicant will have a proven track record of creating an environment where diversity is embraced and inclusivity is embedded into the company culture, leading to measurable positive outcomes for their employees. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.
- Organisation Overview and Commitment: Introduce your organisation, detailing how diversity and inclusion are deeply embedded in your culture and operations. Highlight key milestones in your diversity journey.
- Recruitment and Hiring Strategies: Detail your recruitment and hiring strategies that ensure diverse representation and inclusivity. Describe any innovative approaches supporting these practices.
- Exceptional Initiatives: Showcase exceptional diversity and inclusion initiatives that go beyond compliance, detailing their transformative impact on equity and opportunity.
- Inclusive Culture: Describe how you create and maintain an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, through specific programs and everyday practices.
- Monitoring and Accountability: Explain how you measure and track your diversity and inclusion efforts, and how this data informs continuous improvements and ensures accountability.
- Measurable Impact and Success Stories: Provide specific examples and data demonstrating how your diversity and inclusion efforts have led to measurable improvements in employee satisfaction, retention, and representation.
