This award is open to professionals with less than five years' experience working in the life sciences industry. The judges will look for evidence of outstanding achievement in handling ordinary and extra ordinary duties showing creativity, initiative, and teamwork in the pursuit of adding value to their organisation. Entrants can be nominated by themselves, their colleagues, supervisors, or members of the public, but please ensure you have their permission to do so.
Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.
- Career summary: A summary that describes the first five years of their career to date including qualifications achieved.
- Contributions & Achievements: Summarise the contributions the person has made over the past 24 months to the introduction and promotion of standards within the life sciences.
- Sample Projects/Initiatives: Highlight any recent Bio projects or initiatives they were heavily involved in from the past 24 months and quantify its success.
- Leadership: Outline how the individual has displayed strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, commitment, and enthusiasm for the role.
- Supporting facts & statements: Include any other statements or facts that support the entry, such as activities in the broader life sciences sector or engagement with academic or other industry partners including a supporting letter from the nominee’s head of department or supervisor.
